FAQ

  • I studied English at University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. Journalism seemed limited in terms of creativity. A careers advisor suggested copywriting. I had no idea there was such a job. I started a junior account manager and offered to do copywriting at the first opportunity. I was then onboarded as the agency writer.

  • Try me. I’m fortunate to have worked at the glamorous end of advertising for well-known fashion and beauty brands. I’ve also written for plumbing services, salary packaging, capital finance, bariatric surgery and passive fire protection. One of the things I have always enjoyed about my work is the continuous learning about different businesses and professions.

  • Outside of the ad world, yes. I have written articles for Vogue, Mamamia, The Weekly Review and worked with various media outlets to spread awareness for cancer prevention.

  • As a mum of three including a child with non-verbal Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder, I needed more job flexibility.

  • I collaborate with a number of reputable freelance designers and art directors. I can also recommend agencies that can help you with branding, design and website building.

  • I’ve worked for some of Melbourne’s biggest agencies. Now, I work in Melbourne with limited hours. I am Geelong-based but can work onsite in Melbourne and remotely if needed.

  • I wrote several TV commercials for Priceline when Ita Buttrose was one of their ambassadors. Being on set watching Ita Buttrose, the queen of Australian media, read out my words was a special moment. She was gracious, elegant and happy to sign a book for me.
